If anyone remembers the times when there were no paid promotions (lol), back then there were no issues with mass DMs, fans responded better to messages, etc. I agree that there were a thousand other reasons, but still. When promotions were just starting, 500 fans could visit a page in 5 hours, and that was considered normal.
At some point, Onlik realized what was happening and began to actively slow down any kind of promotion. Because it's not profitable for them to circulate traffic within the platform. They need new traffic, for example, from Reddit, Instagram, TikTok, etc. New users, not the same old ones going back and forth.
Now they've limited the number of SFS (Shoutout For Shoutout) and promotional posts, why suddenly? It's for the same reason; work for the platform, work on new traffic for Onlik, and in return, get a perpetually lagging site, mass DMs taking two days to send, and fans who simply don't see your messages.
Naturally, all of this is a conspiracy theory =)) I just thought, what if it's really like that, and decided to share it with you. What do you think?
